Mr Satish Bhingare is a retired Executive Director from Water Resource Department, Government of Maharashtra. He carries with him a versatile experience of more than 45 years, working at various levels in the department and as a Consultant in the Private Sector.
During this tenure he has acquired diverse experience in planning, designing, implementation, formation of policies, strategies and financial management of Water Resources Development, Hydro Power projects, Irrigation and Dam projects in India.
He has served as the Director General of WALMI Aurangabad, a premier research and training institution in water resources management. He has provided an able leadership as DG of WALMI and has also tried innovative ideas in the field of research and training in the water resources sector. He has had experience of project management and general administration.
He has a very good understanding of state-of-art technologies to be adapted in the water resources sector He also specializes in the sector of irrigation management and costing of water. He also has a good perspective of changing scenario in the usage of water due to increase in non-irrigation use, mainly by industrial sector.
As a consultant he has dealt with various assignments of Water Resource, Major and Minor Irrigation, Drinking Water supply. He also specializes in the sector of irrigation management and costing of water. During his tenure in WALMI, has conducted studies of various basins for actual water utilization and charging of tax based on all costs. He also has a good perspective of changing scenario in the usage of water due to increase in non-irrigation use, mainly by industrial sector.
